HEAD OF SCHOOL

We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Steve Thomas as our new Head of School! Mr. Thomas is entering his 30th year in the field of education and has over 20 years of experience in Christian school administration—15 of those years as head of school. He resides in Pensacola with his sweet wife, with whom he has three adult daughters. His heart for education extends beyond the school building as he also ministers as Teaching Pastor at Gulf Coast Baptist Church! With his incredible experience and evident passion for Christian education, we are certain that he will provide the godly wisdom and leadership needed to continue to further our goal of training students for life.

CCA Family,

“The fact that God uses believers to accomplish His purposes still amazes me.  As I begin my thirtieth year in education, I have been blessed to see countless lives affected for the glory of God.  In a little more than a month, we will start that process again with the 2023-24 school year.  We have a front row seat to watch God work in the lives of our families and the families of this community.  I am honored and grateful that Calvary Baptist Church has given me the opportunity to labor with you in this much needed work.  In the first two weeks here, many of you have been kind enough to reach out and make me feel welcome.  I am looking forward to meeting the rest of the staff and families that make up CCA and CCP.  Christian education is more important and needed than it ever has been.  As the world system continues to wax worse and worse, being faithful to our call to rear children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord is going to be more difficult.  We can be confident that the sustaining power of God will be present as we continue the task of Training Students for Life!

Because of Him
Steve Thomas

SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

The Lord has blessed us with another addition to our administrative staff: Mr. Jonathan Monczewski (pronounced “Mon-CHE-ski,” for those who are curious), our new school principal! Mr. Monczewski—also known as Mr. Mon—was born and raised in Christian education. After graduating high school from a Christian school, he went on to receive his Bachelor’s degree in music education at Bob Jones University, and later received his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Pensacola Christian College. He taught in a Christian school for 10 years as the music director. He joins us at CCA with his wife, who also happens to be our new high school science teacher, and their one-year-old son, Luka .Mr. Monczewski is deeply passionate about providing quality Christian education and desires to cultivate an environment in which students will thrive not only academically, but spiritually as well.

CCA Family,

“I have been so blessed by Christian education. I believe that it has helped shape me into the person that I am today, and I am so incredibly grateful for the godly influences that have impacted my life. As a result, I believe Christian education is so important for students today. The world is attempting to take over every area of life, including education. The Christian school is a place that seeks to give students an education from a Christian worldview and train them to live a blessed, Christian life. My wife and I have taught in Christian education for a combined nineteen years. We are so thankful to be a part of a ministry that seeks to help students grow in their academic and spiritual lives, and we look forward to ministering at Calvary Christian Academy.”
