PRESIDENT
Pastor Mitchell had the privilege of growing up in Christian education and attended a private, Christian school from K4 through the 12th Grade. He graduated from Northwest Baptist Academy in 2000 and attended Providence Baptist College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Theology, and graduated as valedictorian of his class. He has always had a passion for ministering to others and teaching God’s Word and has served in various capacities in his church throughout his high school and college years.
Upon graduating from college, he joined the staff at Bay View Baptist Church in Washington, IL where he served as the Administrative Pastor for 22 years overseeing the business and finance aspects of the entire ministry, conducting several remodel projects, managing the computers and IT for the church and school, running church activities, serving in various youth programs, and teaching and preaching God’s Word as the Lord gave opportunities. In April of 2025, God led Pastor Mitchell, his wife Rebecca, and their four teenage children to join the staff here at Calvary Baptist Church and Calvary Christian Academy, and they moved to Fort Walton Beach in June of that year. He is looking forward to serving this community and sharing the gospel of Christ and the Word of God with the church, school, and those in this area for as long as the Lord grants him this opportunity.

Mr. Monczewski, known to students as Mr. Mon, grew up in Christian education. After graduating from Temple Baptist School, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Bob Jones University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Pensacola Christian College. Before joining Calvary Christian Academy, Mr. Monczewski served for 10 years as the music director at a Christian school. His wife is CCA’s high school science teacher, and they have a son who attends CCA. Mr. Monczewski is passionate about providing a quality Christian education. He hopes to cultivate an environment where students thrive both academically and spiritually.

Jonathan Monczewski
Principal
Mrs. Alisha Hamilton first began working with children in 1997 in her church’s daycare. After her children all became school-age, she was convicted to partner with a Christian school for her own children’s education. This conviction led her to begin serving in the school her children attended. Soon, it became clear that the Lord was leading her to teach, so she pursued her bachelor’s degree. After 15 years in the classroom, she advanced her education by earning her M.Ed in Christian School Administration from Regent University. While Mrs. Hamilton loves her role as a school principal, she remains passionate about her first call to teach, so enjoys her time in the classroom here at CCA as well.
Mrs. Hamilton enjoys mentoring our teachers, supporting our students, and partnering with parents. Her conviction for Christian education was first unlocked in 1997 and has only grown stronger in the decades that have followed. Our school motto, “Training Students for Life,” perfectly reflects her commitment to excellence and her dedication to prepare our students for success in all areas of life, so they may Know God, Love God, Serve God, and Glorify God for the rest of their lives.
